Description :
  • Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of ESG reporting standards and frameworks and the global regulatory reporting requirements

  • Establishing relationships with executive management responsible for implementing and delivering ESG reporting within the organization

  • Developing insights and thought leadership on emerging trends in ESG reporting for distribution within PwC and also with our clients

  • As a member of the ESG reporting leadership team, work closely with different stakeholders to establish PwC points of view, interpretations and implementation guidance for the application of ESG reporting standards

  • Participating in global ESG reporting initiatives to help develop PwC methodologies and leading best practices, share experiences and continually enhance the services we bring to our clients

  • Leading complex technical advisory assignments on the application of ESG standards to a client’s specific circumstances, working hand-in-hand with other ESG specialists across PwC

  • Leading complex technical accounting and analysis of GAAP impacts related to ESG

  • Providing subject matter expertise related to ESG reporting to other professionals within PwC and to our clients

  • Identifying trends within the Canadian and global environment that present opportunities and risks for PwC service offerings and lead the development of solutions to capitalize on market trends

  • Leading complex, multi-disciplinary projects related to ESG reporting design and implementation – often supporting several projects at a time

  • Developing a reputation as a subject matter expert with clients and other key stakeholders in the Canadian market. Building close relationships with regulators, standard setters and key influencers of ESG reporting requirements.

Requirements :
  • Experience in developing and leading complex engagements of multi-disciplinary capabilities to solve clients financial and non-financial accounting and regulatory reporting issues

  • Qualified Canadian CPA or equivalent reciprocal/recognized designation

  • Deep knowledge of ESG reporting standards and frameworks and the expected upcoming regulatory reporting trends.

  • Experience building relationships with executives responsible for external regulatory reporting including regulated financial and non-financial reporting

  • A broad understanding of the role of ESG reporting and governance in enhancing enterprise value and the linkages that ensure reporting aligns with both regulatory requirements as well as business strategy

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate new ideas and prepare reports and other documents for presentation to senior client executives and boards

  • Highly detail oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills; an ability to think broadly and to identify linkages and trends in data, facts and other information to uncover insights and deliver quality to our clients

  • Share and collaborate effectively with others, building relationships which are genuine and rooted in trust

  • A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard

  • Flexibility to travel on an as needed basis
